UK-based author Stevie Carroll, who does cool little history tours for us, did a piece on the Upper Derwent Valley in Derbyshire, and about how the construction of the Ladybower Reservoir drowned that valley.
Regular Women and Words contributor Marion Dries, who is a radio DJ, does interviews with various lesfic authors called “Voices of Lesbian Literature” and on Tuesday, she posted her latest, with author Annette Mori, who publishes with New Zealand-based Affinity Ebooks.
We posted a Q&A with Bedazzled Ink author Karen Richard, who just released a collection of short stories in which she wrote a story a month for a year and explored various themes of how extraordinary things can impact ordinary women. Karen is also doing a free giveaway of her debut!
Lambda-winning author Andrea Bramhall blogged to discuss her latest release through Ylva Publishing, a British crime novel called Collide-o-Scope. Jove and I also mentioned Andrea’s official book launch party is May 15th at the campground she runs in the UK, called Deepdale Backpackers and Camping.

On Friday, Andi blogged about the death of musician/creative genius Prince, and what his music meant to a generation of people like her.
Then Jove and Andi discussed the forthcoming Golden Crown Literary Society conference in Washington, DC (6-10 July) and what regular contributing writers will be doing at the conference, including panels and panel discussions. W&W will also have a table there with swag and T-shirts and happy fun times. Come on by!
