That voice can stop you in your tracks and talk you into running in the other direction, the opposite direction to where you might need to truly go. Without intervention, it will place doubt in your mind and cloud your vision, your vision of who you really are, which is much stronger than you likely give yourself credit for being.

Uncertainty is as much a part of life as breathing. Most of us fear uncertainty on some level. We may fear things like getting into a car accident on the way to the grocery store, losing our job that we love, finding out we didn’t get that promotion we sought, missing out on a fun vacation because of a lack of funds, having our car not start on an important meeting day. You’re not alone if you’ve had these thoughts. But what makes us have these thoughts in the first place?

Some experts might say it’s out intolerance of uncertainty that causes us to fear it.

Interestingly enough, many of us view uncertainty as a bad thing. We attribute a bad outcome to its presence. But what if that uncertainty is necessary for you to get to a new place, a better place? What if these uncertain situations create good outcomes in the end?

Curves Welcome – How to Be Attentive to the Present Moment

Novelist and motivational blogger Suzie Carr talks about one of the greatest life lessons she learned from her dogs, how to be more mindful in this chaotic world.

The greatest lessons I’ve learned in life have been through my dogs. Dogs are natural leaders, healers, and friends. Without words, without judgment, without criticism, and instead with a simple look, they know exactly how to communicate the important things in life.

One of the greatest life lessons I learned that I learned from my dogs is indulging in the present moment, or in other words, being mindful.

Dogs understand how to live in the present moment. They know how to dig in and really grasp the here and now. If we can learn how to be more mindful, we can learn how to live a better life. How to stay calm, centered and attentive to the present moment.
