Coffee Break With KA & Dana: Meaningful Conversations From A Lesbian Perspective

According to the USA Today, people who identify as LGBTQ are at greater risk of sexual violence. Forty-four percent of lesbians and sixty-one percent of bisexual women experience rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner, compared with 35 percent of heterosexual women. In this episode, KA and Dana discuss sexual assault including the prevalence of sexual assault in the lgbtq community, how to reduce risk factors, the continuum of sexuality, the #MeToo Movement, resources, and lesfic books that deal with the topic of victimization. KA is an author of lesbian romance with degrees in counseling, psychology, and social work. Dana is an avid reader, a recovering alcoholic, a fisher-woman, and a graduate of the school of hard knocks. As co-hosts, they're quite the duo.
